Everyone at BJB is delighted to have provided the Museum of RAF Firefighting with a TCM forklift truck for hire.
The Museum of RAF Firefighting is a volunteer-lead charitable organisation that provides a look into Firefighting from the Victorian Era, right through to today, with a particular emphasis on the Royal Air Force
With an abundance of vehicles and equipment to view, the Museum of RAF Firefighting is a collection for any age to enjoy, and with passionate volunteers, who have genuine experience in their fleet when they were active within the forces; you’re never too far from a brilliant story.
In recent months, The Museum of RAF Firefighting has found itself without a home to house it’s wonderful equipment. BJB provided the Museum of RAF Firefighting with a TCM forklift to move their equipment onto vehicles to further take them into storage. It was lovely to meet some of the brilliant volunteers at the Museum of RAF Firefighting, with Director/Owner Phil Flowers saying “It was fascinating to have the opportunity to look at the wonderful collection of vehicles and equipment at the museum. We are fortunate to have access to such incredible history in our region and great credit is due to all the volunteers for keeping such history accessible to the public. All the team here at BJB highly recommend a visit!”
A Call for Help
The Museum of RAF Firefighting is still on the lookout for a new building to be the home to their outstanding equipment. The volunteer-run organisation are on the look out for a empty building with minimum floor space of approx. 50,000 square feet within Lincolnshire, however due to them being a charity, they are hoping to find, as they have done in the past, a generous landlord who will retain ownership of their building, but will let to the Museum of RAF Firefighting for a “peppercorn rent”; this will mean that the building owner will make significant savings through rate relief. The building needs to have toilet facilities & utilities as a minimum. It would also be beneficial to have offices and car parking.

BJB Lift Trucks are doing as much as they possibly can to help the Museum of RAF Firefighting, however they still need any help they can get.
